Fiscal Attraction

Greetings my fellow space cadets,

I was pondering the other day about just how many song lyrics revolve around money.

We are living in a material world and I am a material girl. (That’s just me speaking, I haven’t started quoting the lyrics yet!)

Money, money, money must be funny, in a rich man’s world. Money’s too tight to mention. Money makes the world go round. Money can’t buy me love. Money for nothing and chicks for free. Money, get back, i’m all right Jack, keep your hands off my stack. It’s not about the money, money, money, we just want to make the world dance, forget about the price tag.

I think sometimes money gets a bit of a bad rap (certainly when 50 cent is in da house). We are taught that money is the root of all evil but the actual saying I believe was ‘the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil’. Money itself can’t do you too much harm, unless a big bag of coins lands on your head from a great height and in fact money if used the right way can do lots of good indeed but it is our obsession and desire for money that can lead us astray.

There have been lots and lots of books and websites popping up over recent years regarding The Laws Of Attraction and it in itself has become huge business. Essentially there is nothing wrong with understanding abundance and how the laws of the Universe work but I feel we could be breeding a generation of people who use and abuse the Universe as if it was a supermarket to be used at their own disposal and without taking responsibility for the things that they do attract to themselves.

We must always respect the Universe and ourselves, otherwise what joy is there in all our material possessions if we don’t appreciate them or are able to share them with other people? We will be very wealthy but very lonely. We are all work, work, work chasing money, money, money but who wants to be the wealthiest man in the graveyard?

Some of the richest and wealthiest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting have very little actual money or possessions at all but rather they have love and heart and spirit.

Perhaps if we work on it we can make it a meta-fiscal attraction instead.

Peace. Om. Chaka Khan
